The annual book sale of the Friends of the Nevins Library in Methuen will be held later this month.
According to President of the Friends of the Library, Carla Friedrich, there will be a wide selection of non-fiction and fiction Books, Books for children, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles. Proceeds will go to support programs and activities in the library for people of all ages.
Also on sale will be Book Pages Jewelry; a featured item of the Library. The jewelry is handcrafted and made from pages of discarded sheet music and Books.
Those living in the city, as well as people from surrounding communities like nearby Andover, are welcome to attend the book sale. Print companies are likely to be busy as well as they produce promotional Flyers and Posters for the four-day long event.
The book sale will be held from Friday, September 26 to Monday, September 29. A preview sale will be held on Friday evening, with a $20 fee so those who shop can get their first choice of Books. On Saturday, there will be popcorn and coffee for sale and a food table, while Sunday will provide a quieter atmosphere for reading and browsing.
