Special speaker series to come to Andover
The Andover Country Club will be hosting the debut of TEDxAndover at the end of this month.
Menka Hariani, a resident of Andover, is organizing the event, which will feature curated TED videos, six speakers, a dance performance, and an hour of networking for attendees. Tickets are $75 per person. Flyer printing is often used to promote such inaugural events in a town and neighboring communities.
The speakers will be Kristen Faulkner, Jagpreet Chhatwal, Asha Saxena, Dr. Michelee Wise, Graham Igo, and Pat Opran. Faulkner is a winner of two gold medals at the Olympic Games in Paris this year, and a professional road cyclist. Chhatwal is an associate professor at Harvard Medical School whose research has played a key role in many disease areas, both nationally and around the world.
Saxena has built a number of successful technology companies over the past three decades, while Wise runs a consulting firm for organizations that prepare young adults for future work. Igo is a student at Andover High School and encourages young people to remain unique in a world of conformity. Finally, Opran is a talented dancer and performer.
Organizers of TEDx events obtain a free license from TED to host speaker series such as these to local communities. TEDxAndover will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30.
