Punchard packs a punch into June

Several events are being sponsored by the Center at Punchard in Andover during this month, with some of them being held at the Center itself.

Most likely a variety of printing services are being used to announce these events, which are open to the community.

For the next three Fridays (June 6, 13, and 20), there will be harmonica lessons with Dave Cook, who will show participants how to expand their musical horizons and have some fun puckering up with a harmonica.

Also this Friday, there will be a discussion of healthy eating habits as related to water and other fluids. Attendees will learn how much fluid they need to need daily requirements, and what the sources of those fluids are. As it is a presentation in the morning, a healthy breakfast will be served.

Next Tuesday afternoon, June 10, a community coffeehouse will take place at the Writers’ House at Merrimack College in North Andover, where participants are encouraged to create a five-minute presentation of music, poetry, or prose.

On Wednesday afternoons (June 11, 18, and 25), there will be an insider’s tour of the Addison Gallery of American Art at Phillips Academy.

Lastly, the Thursday evenings of June 12 and 26 will be summer outdoor grill nights, which include a meal of salad, a main protein, drink, and dessert. Each evening, there will also be a Boomer Venture Screening Room feature movie.

More info on any of these events can be obtained by calling the Center at 978-623-8321.
