Hospital in Lawrence adds Andover man to board of trustees

Mark B. Johnson of Andover recently joined the Board of Trustees at Lawrence General Hospital.

Johnson is a lawyer who has been practicing since 1986 and is the founder of Johnson & Borenstein LLC, an Andover-based civil litigation and real estate law firm. The focus of his firm is all areas of real estate, including representing clients in construction financing, commercial. and residential transactions, land use planning and permitting, and real estate development. Clients in various types of civil litigation and corporate matters can also seek representation by the firm.

Johnson expressed his happiness about joining Lawrence General Hospital’s Board of Trustees and helping it to meet the needs of those who live in the Merrimack Valley and advancing its commitment to excellence in patient care. Each year there are 200,000 outpatients, 70,000 emergency room patients, and 12,000 inpatients at the hospital which also has over 2,000 employees, making it one of the largest employers in the city.

Johnson is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Real Estate Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association and received his law degree from the Boston University School of Law. He grew up in Brooklyn and now lives in Andover where he has held many leadership roles in several community organizations.
