Gourmet catering chefs run epicurean spring class

Beginner, intermediate, and advanced cooks from Andover and the surrounding communities will want to attend a cooking class held by Essential Chefs Catering at its kitchen in Amesbury later this week.

Chefs Dan and John Martin, graduates of the Johnson and Wales Culinary School, will be holding a class in which students will make a four-course dinner celebrating spring. Items on the menu include roasted oyster root and asparagus, black bass, grilled tenderloin of beef, and strawberry rhubarb jar pies for dessert.

The Chefs will teach the essential cooking techniques that make for continual exceptional cooking. Students have the opportunity to work side-by-side with the chefs in a professional catering kitchen to prepare the dishes and then enjoy them afterward as part of a gourmet sit-down dinner in the lounge. Attendees need to bring their own wine. Students take home the recipes from the class, a list of the equipment used, and additional helpful hints.

The cost of the four-course dinner is $75 per person, with the accompanying culinary class being complimentary. The use of flyer printing companies is one way that Essential Chefs Catering can get the word out about this upcoming class and other ones it holds, as well as its catering and event-planning services.

This Spring Celebration class will be held this Thursday, May 21, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
