On Saturday, April 5, the Knight of Honor Rising Star Gala was held and saw three students and one merchant recognized by the North Andover Merchants Association for their dedication to business within the community.
Courtney Holland and Nick Cincotta, two seniors from North Andover High School, each received a $1,000 business scholarship, Todd Patnaude received a $500 entrepreneur scholarship and Dawn Pease, owner of Dawns Sign Tech, won the title of Merchant of the Year.
Holland was recognized for writing about Stachey’s Pizza; a business owned by her uncle, from which he donates pizza to many organizations throughout the city. Cincotta wrote about his father’s business, Cincotta Landscaping, and how he started the company and was able to build it to a point at which it could support him and his brothers.
Patnaude started his own landscaping business at the age of 17 last summer after doing some work for an acquaintance once a week. Once he got his driver’s license, he went door-to-door around where he lived and, soon enough, Patnaude Landscaping had been created.
Lastly, Pease was honored for her many contributions to the community. She has donated Signs and Banners for various events, and T-Shirts for fundraising activities.
