Alert Innovation, specializing in micro fulfillment systems and grocery automation, is moving to a new headquarters in Andover.
The new headquarters has 30,000 square feet of lab space and 70,000 square feet of office space. Close to three-quarters of the 450 people who work for the company will be working in the new headquarters. Moving to a new headquarters typically involves using Stationery printers so that its new address can be reflected on all its customized printed materials.
The company’s patented Alphabot system is being built at the new facility. This is a state-of-the-art robotic solution for grocery automation and is deployed across the country in major grocery stores.
Founder and Executive Chairman of Alert Innovation, John Lert, said that the launch of the company was well served in its Nort Billerica offices but now the company is in a phase of team growth and rapid deployment, and more space is needed for its operations team and engineers to take the company forwards.
Fritz Morgan, CEO of Alert Innovation, added that it is essential to have enough space for not only meeting the company’s current obligations, but to be able to develop and deploy future solutions from the company. Morgan said that this new location will be able to attract talent in the Boston area and allow for planned growth.
