Louisville Tourism President and CEO Cleo Battle said commenting on the city’s rankings in the USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards:

We value the recognition and national exposure this accolade brings our city and appreciate their vital contributions in keeping our hospitality industry thriving.”

The city’s popular Kentucky Derby Museum, which just finished a record-breaking year was rated #3 on the USA Today list. During the fiscal year starting October 1, 2023 and ending September 30, 2024 the museum recorded an all-time record of 258,382 visitors, which was a 2.7 percent increase compared to the previous year’s record-setting attendance.
Coming in at #5 on the list was the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory which during 2023 attracted more than 310,000 visitors.
Battle, explaining the significance of the city’s sports attractions, said the Kentucky Derby Museum and the Louisville Slugger Museum significantly impact its hospitality industry as well as helping to secure Louisville’s position as a premiere cultural and sporting destination.
