Louisville to host violence reduction summit

Those in Louisville hoping to learn about ways to prevent community violence will likely be attending an upcoming November symposium. This event is being hosted by The Office for Violence Prevention, and everyone is welcome to join.

The 2026 Louisville Violence Reduction Summit: Where Violence Ends is primarily intended to highlight the challenges currently faced by the city, and to describe some of the ways in which these can be overcome. It will be highlighting specific examples alongside proven success stories. The goal is to provide attendees with the insight required to adopt a more proactive approach while fostering a greater sense of community awareness.

This event will feature several guest speakers with a considerable amount of hands-on experience. A handful of amenities will also be provided for guests. These include a complimentary continental breakfast, and free childcare services on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Community-oriented seminars will often use a variety of marketing techniques to connect with potential attendees. Some tried-and-tested approaches include flyer printing services, partnering with firms capable of producing Brochures in bulk, and paying for airtime on local radio stations.

The 2026 Louisville Violence Reduction Summit: Where Violence Ends will be held on Friday, November 6th from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. This event is being hosted by Goodwill West Louisville Opportunity at 2820 West Broadway. There is no charge to attend, and tickets are not needed.
