The park was built on an unused lot owned by the city near the corner of Broadway and Fourth Street in downtown Louisville. The location, which has had new sod, benches, and fencing added, offers dogs a place to exercise and socialize off-leash. Additionally, a colorful mural featuring TurfMutt’s own Mulligan adds to the park’s festive atmosphere.
Craig Greenberg, Louisville’s major commented:
"The reasons to live and work in downtown Louisville keep getting better. As we continue to invest in and grow our downtown green spaces, we want to have something for all parties involved, including our beloved four-legged friends."
While most Promotional Products are designed for use by humans, those geared for “fur babies” can be just as useful a promotional tool.
The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute’s education and outreach program, the TurfMutt Foundation encourages the public to utilize the green spaces surrounding them to the best advantage of people, animals and the environment as well as supporting the rescue, rehabilitating and rehoming of animals.
Over 70 million children, families and educators have been reached by the TurfMutt Foundation since its inception in 2009. This has been accomplished via partnering with Discover Education, Weekly Reader and Scholastic to educate everyone on how to “save the planet, one yard at a time.”
