Cody Clark, a Louisville magician and autism advocate, will be hosting his Cody & Friends, a mix of magic and variety, at the Highview Arts Center later in the month.
A recently formed magic and variety show, Cody & Friends is held every two to three months. Clark’s May show, Cody & Friends – Classical Conjurers, will be his fourth such performance, with two more still to come in July and October. The July show, titled Awesome Autistic Artists will take place on the 7th of that month, while in October the first anniversary of Cody & Friends will be held on an as-of-yet unannounced date.
Classic tricks combined with some of magic’s finest traditions are presented by Clark along with The Variety Tricksters, Dennis Alm, and Buddy August with no two performances being the same.
Many events are best promoted with the assistance of a poster printing service.
The Variety Tricksters are a duo act from Cincinnati comprised of vocalist Sharrise and magician Sir-Patrick who merge magic and music. Specializing in sleight of hand Dennis Alm is the Nashville, Indiana operator of Denny’s Magic Shop. The 76-year-old August is Louisville magician who although only practicing magic for a couple of years has won the open mic Winter Carnival of Magic’s contest and the close-up magic contest of the Louisville Magic Club.
Tickets for Clark’s May 20th show cost $15 and can be purchased on Eventbrite or at the door.
