Date announced for annual Louisville holiday show

Louisville’s annual intro into the holiday season will come on a new day this year, but with all the usual gusto the city has come to expect from its annual kick off of the holidays.

The return of Light Up Louisville will take place from 3 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, December 7 and, as always, will be a free event. The festivities include the Lots of Lights Parade proceeding down Santa Clause Lane, usually known as Jefferson Street, with dozens of illuminated groups singing and dancing their way down the street.

For large events, particularly those that take place over an extensive area, banner printing services can prove particularly helpful in identifying specific areas and directing attendees.

A Vendor Village will be located at 6th and Jefferson Streets, where attendees can find local food and craft vendors offering holiday treats, snacks, and a variety of beverages including the obligatory candy canes and hot cocoa. From 2 pm to 9 pm, the Downtown Holiday Market will once again be located in the Aegon Plaza and the area surrounding it at 4th and Jefferson Streets. Needless to say, Santa Claus will also be available to hear children’s Christmas requests.

This year, two stages will supply live entertainment throughout the event, with the Main Stage on Jefferson Street in front of Metro Hall. The second stage, the Jingle Stage, will be set up in Jefferson Square Park.
