Upcoming street festival an opportunity for local business
The 4th annual St. Matthews Street Festival will take place this May in Louisville. It is a presentation of the St. Matthews Area Chamber of Commerce, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
The festival will be held on Frankfort Avenue to Beaver Avenue, where the streets will be closed off to traffic.
A major part of the festival will be the business showcase, which is expected to feature food, retail, craft, and nonprofit organizations. Chamber member fees are $200 for nonprofit and $250 for food, retail, and crafts, or $400 for nonmembers regardless of the category. Businesses can also become sponsors for an outlay of $350 up to $3,000, and will be recognized at the event on banners should they do so.
There will also be a 5K run, electronics recycling, entertainment from Slick Bandit and other acts, the Fun Zone, a beer garden, and a wellness fair. The Kidz Zone will feature face painting, inflatables, and a paint spot. An area firetruck will also be on hand.
Organizers no doubt will be investing in banner printing services from Louisville print companies to recognize the event sponsors.
