Ford began building Model Ts in Louisville 1913. The company opened its Kentucky Truck Plant here in 1969, which underwent expansion in 1997 followed by an expansion of 1.1 million square foot in 2016. Moreover, over 6,000 retirees of Ford live in the Bluegrass State.
Construction, whether of a totally new structure or in expanding an existing one, offers many opportunities for local Print shops to provide signage.
According to a 2023 report produced by Thomas Lambert a professor at the University of Louisville, the economic impact of Ford in Kentucky is over $33 billion through its network of suppliers and vendors.
