The new facility will create 50 full-time jobs once finished. At the ribbon cutting, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg remarked on ISCO being a hometown company saying:
“ISCO Industries is a Louisville-born and grown company that continues to reinvest in its hometown. This new facility is another example of a company doubling down on its commitment to Louisville and showcasing it can continue to grow and fill new jobs right here in the city where it all started.”
As businesses expand and add to their workforce, their need for employee related materials from printing services, such as uniforms, employee handbooks and employment paperwork, is also likely to expand.
ISCO was founded in 1962 by Jim Kirchdorfer Sr. a Louisville hardware store owner who turned his interest in golf into a company focusing on underground golf course irrigation. Kirchdorfer named his new enterprise Irrigation Supply Co. (ISCO). The company is now run by his sons, Jimmy and Mark, and still headquartered in Louisville, becoming a global piping solutions provider with 35 facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
With its new facility on Transport Court, ISCO’s investment in the community will continue to add to the economic growth in Kentucky.
