What's Happening in Louisville, KY…

Upcoming Louisville event to attract the foodies

The 3rd annual Gravy Cup is taking place this April in Louisville, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Haven.

This event will feature some of the top chefs in the area who will be cooking dishes such as chili, hot wings, and barbecue. There is no fee for them to to enter, but they must provide enough food samples for a large crowd.

The chefs will compete in either the professional or the home pro division in the categories of traditional, nontraditional, and veggie/vegan. A prize will be given for best overall dish, as well as the best in each category. The winner of the People's Choice award will be given the coveted Golden Ladle.

Guests will be able to purchase tasting tickets for food and drinks. There will also be musical entertainment and a silent auction.

Ticket holders for this event will be able to attend Gonzofest for free. This is a festival dedicated to author Hunter S. Thompson that will take place after Gravy Fest at Louisville Waterfront Park from 2:00 pm until midnight.

Organizers of the event may invest in banner printing services to recognize sponsors of this Louisville event.

The Gravy Cup will be held at Diamonds Pub and Billiards on April 11, and chefs have until next Wednesday, April 1, to sign up. Tickets are $10 each for general admission. To learn more, visit the official event website.
