Speed Art Museum has winter tours, classes and films

The Speed Art Museum in Louisville is offering daily drop in tours, classes in art, and movies within its Speed Cinema during the winter.

Located at 2035 South Third Street, there is a long list of events scheduled for January.
Collection Drop in Tours run daily from January 1-31 from 1-2 pm. Wednesday through Saturdays and Sundays at 1 and 2 pm, explore the highlights of the art museum with a tour guide.

On January 4 The World Before Your Feet will be run from 6:00 to 7:40 pm. It is about Matt Greens and his walking paths through New York City. Produced by Jesse Eisenburg, it will also be shown on January 9 and 10 from 1 pm to 2:40 pm.

On January 6 at 1:30 pm, the cinema will be showing A Free Owsley Sunday film called Sherlock Jr. This movie is about a projectionist that day dreams about being in the films he shows and is directed by Buster Keaton.

On January 13 the Sunday film is Cops directed by Buster Keaton. The film is about a man that tries to impress his girlfriend leading to trouble. Louisville has printing services that design and provide Posters and flyer printing for museums and cinemas to promote their seasonal events.

Art Lab will take place with January 5 and 12 at 1-4 pm. At these sessions, participants create art with all materials provided. Most tours and programs are free with museum admission.
