Special zoo event planned for Halloween
Louisville’s popular “Boo at the Zoo” is returning, including a special allergy-friendly night, with loads photo opportunities for kids with their favorite storybook characters.
Dressing up is encouraged for all guests, both adults and children. The zoo asks that all costumes are kid friendly, meaning nothing overly frightening, and adult faces cannot be fully covered. Trick-or-treat bags can be brought from home or reusable ones purchased for $2 reusable at the zoo’s gift shop.
Poster printing services garner business from annual events, both from those wishing to advertise them as well as those selling posters as mementos.
This after-hours event offers a fun and spooky, but not-scary, event for the whole family, running from Thursday, September 30 and continuing through Sunday, October 29 from 5pm – 10pm. Tickets should be ordered early on as capacity is limited each night. Allergy-free night on Thursday, October 19, during which non-food treats such as pencils and stickers as well peanut-free treats, will be especially likely to fill up quickly.
Non-members can buy tickets for $13.50 each; cost for members is $7 for both adults and children. Children 2 years and under will not require a ticket. Tickets include parking and admission, as well as access to the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, “not-so-itsy-bitsy” Spider House, and the Spooktacular Carousel attractions.
There will be no cancellations due to rainy weather. Tickets are available to be purchased online now.
