Production company seeks extras for Louisville film
Those in the Louisville area who have always wanted to be immortalized on film, will now have an opportunity to make that dream come true, as a film being shot in the city is looking for extras.
The Down by the River director wants some real Kentuckians for background and small speaking roles, and according to the casting agency charged with rounding up extras, previous acting experience will not be required. Casting Director Charlotte Arnoux explained what the director wants more than experienced pros are real Kentuckians.
As per the online casting form:
Although the film is specifically looking to fill several roles for young adults, teens, and tweens, the cast department has announced that it welcomes auditions from anyone with an interest in being a part of the movie regardless of gender, age, or background.
Shooting locations receive valuable publicity and frequently help promote the movie locally by engaging a banner printing service to spread the word of their involvement.
Depending on an individual’s role, extras will need to be onset for one or two days. All those assigned speaking roles will receive paid professional rates.
The first step for those interested in being a part of the film, is to go to the website and fill out a questionnaire online. Applicants will be asked to submit a recent photograph and a short video of themselves answering a series of questions.
Shooting will commence in May.
