Non-profit funding applications to open for 2022/23
The Louisville Metro Government (LMG) has announced that External Agency Fund (EAF) applications will soon open for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2023.
The grants in question are awarded to “external” agencies for the improvement of the city’s social, cultural and economic vitality, and are funded via Louisville’s General Fund. EAF grants are given each year to non-profit organizations in Jefferson County that offer programs or services aligning with the sitting mayor’s strategic goals. The non-profits must fit into either Social Services or Arts and Creative Industries programs.
In addition to the business community, brochure printing services are often employed by non-profits to make themselves known to potential donors, as well as those who might benefit from their services.
Social Services program grants are chosen by how well they meet one or more of the following criteria: increases household financial stability, increases a targeted population’s access to services and resources, decreases homelessness, or increases engagement among youth or young adults in quality programming.
Arts and Creative Industry programs are judged by how well they achieve meaningful outcomes for city residents in the areas of growing a creative workforce, supplying arts experience, or growing creative community neighborhoods or spaces.
The application window opens at 5:00 pm this Thursday, January 13, and closes at 5:00 pm on February 3.
