Neighborhood festival promises fun for all
The 12th annual Upper Highlands Festival is taking place next month in Louisville. It if presented by the Upper Highlands Neighborhood Association.
Guests will be treated to live music, appearances by the Louisville League of Mascots and children’s activities such as a petting zoo and balloon twisting. Several speakers will be on hand, including state and city officials and local businesses.
The police and fire departments will have exhibits, and the police will be issuing IDs to children. A number of food trucks such as Kona Ice and Black Rock Grille are also set to be on hand to provide tasty food. Vendors representing area businesses will be selling a variety of merchandise and community groups will be providing information about their programs and services. In addition, many vendors will be hosting raffles, providing door prizes and likely handing out promotional items like custom pens or fridge magnets to those who stop by their booths.
The Red Cross Blood Mobile will be there and guests can register to vote. They can also return unused prescription drugs, recycle items and have their documents shredded.
