Louisville to host laidback Earth Day event
The 8th annual Mighty Kindness Earth Day Hoot will take place next month in Louisville.
This free event is set to feature a music stage that will host acts such as Appalation, Henry Pickens, and The Hart Strings. There will be workshops, performances by aerial artists, a spirit walk, and art on display. Visitors can also bring their old electronics to be recycled and purchase food from regional farms or local food trucks.
In addition, vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise, on the condition that they live within 100 miles of the city and are selling environmentally friendly products. Green community organizations will also be providing information about their programs and services, while handing out promotional items such as reusable tote bags. The kids will not be forgotten either and can participate in fun activities, with face painting, craft making, and games likely to keep them happy during the day.
The program guide that will be provided to everyone who attends will likely be produced by Louisville printing companies, who have their own energy-friendly techniques and procedures.
The Mighty Kindness Earth Day Hoot will be held at Waterfront Park on April 11 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. To find out more about this event, or to become a vendor, visit the official event website.
