Louisville to host Christmas in July event
This July, Louisville’s own Work the Metal will hold the Paint Your Own Ceramic Tree class for people wishing for a little Christmas cheer to combat the sweltering summer temperatures.
Work the Metal is a unique boutique that provides a curated selection of women’s apparel, glassware, home furnishing, and jewelry. Founded in 2003, the shop is located in a renovated historical slaughterhouse and strives to offer the trendiest styles and activities in the area.
The class will be themed “Christmas in July” and will give attendees the opportunity to make their own 11-inch ceramic tree in the form of either a traditional Christmas tree or cactus tree. Participants will paint their tree and then return it to the hands of the expert staff for the firing of the ceramic, which will take around one to two weeks to complete. The trees will include decorate multi-colored lights.
During the class, attendees will also enjoy two cocktails courtesy of The Wine Bar and an individualized charcuterie board from Cultured, an urban cheese shop. There will also be giveaways of promotional products, and a 10% discount at Work the Metal will be given to all attendees.
