Louisville switches on for light show
The MEGA Cavern in Louisville is to be converted to an underground light extravaganza for the Lights under Louisville Christmas holidays.
The cavern consists of 17 miles of underground passageways. A 30-minute ridge will be available for transporting kids through the cavern on a fun tour.
The holiday spectacular features over 2,000,000 points of light and 850 characters lit up in a bright display. Its website bills it as “the only underground light show of its kind on the planet”.
Guests are allowed to drive their own private vehicles into the cavern just during the holiday season. This provides the opportunity to experience the entire attraction.
Many sponsors participate in the event, including Wendy’s, Canada Dry, Fifth Third Bank, Kroger, and Dare to Care Food Bank. Customized sponsorship packages are available giving organizations strong visibility.
Banner printing is often used for this type of event. The strong vinyl banners serve as directional signage for guests. They can be placed outside the venue, in the parking lot, or within the attraction.
Unlike many holiday venues, the cost for attendance is not per person. It is by the carload, so there is no limit to number of persons in each car. However, the light displays are positioned on both sides of the vehicle, so it is recommended to be sure everyone can see the fascinating displays.
