Louisville prepares for summer festival
The Forecastle 2015 will take place in Louisville this summer at the Waterfront Park with thousands of people expected to gather together for this annual festival.
With acts like Sam Smith, My Morning Jacket, and Modest Mouse among the lineup, there is likely to be something to suit all musical tastes.
JK McKnight founded the Forecastle event in 2002, since which time it has evolved from a neighborhood activity to one of the most anticipated festivals in the nation. Forecastle routinely promotes well know musical acts, including Smashing Pumpkins, The Flaming Lips, Band of Horses, Outkast, and The Black Keys. Local up-and-coming artists are also featured.
Prominent keynote speakers are also part of the festivities at the event. In the past, distinguished speakers such as Rob Caughlan with the Surfrider Foundation, Christopher Childs with Greenpeace International, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. have participated in the festival.
Forecastle is produced by Knoxville-based company, AC Entertainment, which is a concert promoter that has produced more than 750 concerts in the southeastern region.
Festivals frequently required printed materials for the promotion and management of the event. Poster printing is a common necessity for marketing festivals. The posters are printed on heavy paper stock, usually in full color with a gloss topcoat. Content and images can be included.
