Louisville air show to take nostalgic turn
Thunder Over Louisville, one of the premier air shows and fireworks displays in the United States, has announced that this year’s theme will be “Through the Decades”.
The popular event, which opens the annual Kentucky Derby Festival event schedule, will be celebrating its 34th year. Highlighting popular songs from the past, the event will once again be choreographed by Zambelli Fireworks to an original soundtrack with an emphasis on how the show has grown since its inception.
Among the Presenting Sponsors will be LG&E, making this its 17th year in that capacity. For the third year running, the company will be putting on its Drone Show immediately before the fireworks commence. Banner printing services assist in promoting event sponsors
Thunder Over Louisville is a daylong event taking place at the Waterfront on April 22, and is the first of over 70 spring events held by the Derby Festival. An independent community organization, Derby Festival entertains over 1.5 million people each spring.
For the 33rd year running, UPS will be among the event’s Presenting Sponsors, and this year’s attendees can once again enjoy the UPS Flight Deck viewing area at Waterfront Park’s Overlook. Front-row seating for the VIP Rooftop Party at the Muhammad Ali International Airport can be purchased for $165. These tickets provide premium viewing, local and regional beers, Derby-inspired foods, cocktails, and private bathrooms, and are available here.
