Fundraiser celebrates Irish culture and dance

The McClanahan Winter Ceili is taking place next month in Louisville, helping to raise funds for the McClanahan School Parents Association.

Guests will be treated to a traditional Irish dinner, which will be catered, and drinks. There will also be live music from the Ladies of Longford, dancing, and a silent auction. Students of the McClanahan School of Irish Dance will be performing during the evening and teaching guests to dance, and there will also be a ceili (Gaelic gathering) calling.

During the evening, the 2016 Cara de Rince Awards will be presented. This year's winners are Siobhan and Michael Reidy and The Irish Rover.

The school provides Irish dance lessons for people of all ages, including a Wee Ones class for preschoolers. It also has classes for all levels of experience, as well as summer lessons.

To advertise this fundraising event, organizers may have contacted a favorite Louisville stationery printing company to provide them with advertising materials such as flyers and posters. The flyers can be easily and inexpensively distributed in the area.

The McClanahan Winter Ceili will be held at the Mellwood Art and Entertainment Center on February 20 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $30 for adults and free for children aged 12 and younger.
