What's Happening in Louisville, KY…

February event to celebrate states bourbon heritage

The Bourbon Classic 2015 will be returning to Louisville for its third year. The weekend event is packed with activities and entertainment focused on the popular Kentucky drink.

Louisville is known to be the gateway to Kentucky’s Bourbon Country, and this event will explore the craftsmanship of distilling and preparing a beverage not just loved in Kentucky, but throughout the world.

Bourbon educational sessions will be offered, featuring the production, promotion, and enjoyment of the beverage. Cocktails, along with myriad culinary creations, will be a highlight of the event.

The agenda is in place and will include a Bourbon Classic Cocktail Challenge featuring bartenders and chefs offering their best wares. A general session will feature master distillers.

The Bourbon Classic University offers educational classes for attendees to learn about bourbon and its many uses in recipes.

The main feature of the event will be the Ultimate Bourbon Experience, which will highlight Bourbon products and samples from chefs, key vendors, and distillers. The vendors may order printed materials from a local print company, including posters, flyers, and banners.

The FSA Management Group and The Bourbon Review coproduce the event. FSA provides a range of services for culinary and foodservice associations.

The Bourbon Classic 2015 will take place February 20 and 21 at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. More information is available via the Center’s website.
