Convention brings the stars to Louisville
The Fandomfest Comic Expo is taking place for three days next month in Louisville. It is a celebration of comic, movies, and other aspects of popular culture.
This year's convention will feature some of the biggest stars of modern cinema, including Kevin Smith, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, and Billy Dee Williams. There will also be TV stars such as Tom Wopat from the Dukes of Hazzard and Billie Piper from Doctor Who. The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be making an appearance too.
Cosplay (costume) contests, panel discussions, a film festival, and question and answer sessions with the celebrities will add to the entertainment. The celebrities will sign autographs and pose for photographs with fans, and there will also be several parties and a Kids’ Zone.
There are several VIP experiences available that cost $175 and up depending on the celebrity.
As with most comic book conventions, one of the most popular areas will probably be the vendors’ room. Fans will be able to buy a wide variety of items here, including photographs, posters, movies, and comic books.
