Annual expo brings international music stars to Louisville
The Midwest Urban Expo and Music Fest is returning to Louisville for three days this June.
The expo is expected to feature a number of seminars, workshops and a college fair. There will be guest speakers, appearances by sports and movie stars, the presentation of the Midwest Community Awards, a performance of Peace through Poetry, and a DJ contest that pits celebrities against one another. Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise including clothing, jewelry, music, and arts and crafts.
The Music Fest will take place on the last day. Among those who are slated to perform at this year's festival are Ron Isley and the Isley Brothers, Faith Evans, and Tom Browne. It will be hosted by Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris.
To help spread word of this festival in the Louisville area and to encourage people to attend, local printing companies may be asked to provide products such as posters and flyers. These can be quickly and inexpensively distributed in the city.
