The City of London Parks and Recreation Department got going on 2016 projects and plans right away, when it accepted the bid of Miracle Recreation for a redesign of London Rotary Park at the start of the year.
The department gave bidders a cutoff of $150,000, and Miracle Recreation came in just one cent under the maximum bid. The company's new design for the park highlights accessibility, meaning that the park will be usable by people of all ages, from the very young to the very old.
It includes elements that already exist in the park, including a large shelter near the back and two gazebos. The playground area will be completely revamped, with plastic and metal equipment replacing the old and rubber mulch in place of the wood chips that used to provide cushioning for any falls.
Along with paying attention the needs of different age groups, the park's new design keeps the needs of those with mobility restrictions in mind. The play area will be fully accessible by everyone.
The city and parks department can use Direct Mail printing to let citizens know when the park will reopen. Rotary Park first opened 20 years ago and closed for renovations back in October, with construction on the new design expected to begin in February. The goal is to finish the construction on March 15 so that the park can reopen in time for spring.Get a Free Quote for Direct Mail
