Public flocks to London fall festival

For more than three decades, London has played host to a September celebration that pays homage to its culinary heritage, and this festival offers four days of fun.

The annual World Chicken Festival draws a large crowd to the community's downtown each year, as there's lots of “egg-citement” to be had. It is one of the largest festivals in the state, and the monies raised benefit over 50 local not-for-profit groups.

The activity includes the chance to view the world’s largest skillet, and it will be used to prepare thousands of chicken meals. Everyone can go for a spin on the carnival-style rides, and there will be games as well. Live entertainment will be spread across multiple stages and eating and other competitions are in the works. Food and market style booths will offer shopping choices; there will be a free shuttle service provided to and from the designated parking areas.

This activity may present a valuable opportunity to London’s small businesses, and the organizers welcome applications from any that would like to sign up. A community's signature events are often heavily marketed, and a poster printing company can supply a range of options for doing so.

The world will be flocking to London for this annual festival which will begin on September 24th. It will be headquartered at 305 S Main Street.
