London event to put polio in rear-view mirror

The London Rotary Club engages in community service projects both domestically and internationally, and it will soon be offering seats for its annual International Dinner.

Polio still impacts many people each year, and the function will help to raise funds to battle the disease. According to the event listing, the Club’s efforts have met with success and the disease is close to being eradicated. The monies raised will be used to support programs like the Polio Plus Fund.

The evening will feature cuisine from all over the world, and the guests will be able to socialize and catch up with old friends while making new ones too. All proceeds will be donated to the cause, and the London Optimist Club, which is located at 383 Sinking Creek Road, will be the venue for the celebration.

A soiree can raise both funds and awareness, and a poster printing company will be happy to help. One of the items it can prepare is oversized photos that show how the generosity of the attendees will impact the lives of others, and they can also craft signage and other materials to use at the event.

This opportunity to help make polio a think of the past is scheduled for Saturday, April 15. Tickets and further information can be found on the Club's website.
