Geoscience event welcomes children and learning in Olathe
An immersive learning experience is being planned for children in the Olathe area with the goal of expanding awareness and knowledge of the solar system.
The Geoscience Kids Day Out is set to begin next month, welcoming area school children to an event aimed to inspire learning through fun and entertaining activities. The activities will all be related to science to demonstrate its benefits and the enjoyment of discovery.
The focus of the event will be on outer space and the solar system, with a dive into the different planets and moons. The learning event is being planned by the Olathe North Geoscience 21st Century Academy, which has the goal of helping students identify an interest and passion for science. Brochure printing is an excellent way to share information at such events through colorful photos and in-depth descriptions.
The registration is limited, and parents will need to enroll their children before the window closes on September 29th. The participants will walk away from the learning experience with a working knowledge of solar eclipses and how they occur. A light snack will be provided to all attending children.
The learning experience will be held at Olathe North High School on Saturday, October 5th, with the doors opening at 12:50 PM. Attendees can enter through the South Commons Door. Tickets cost $30 per guest and are available online.
