A nature therapy session is around the corner for Olathe residents seeking to improve their mental and physical well-being.
The Relational Forest Therapy Afternoon is on the horizon for next month. It will bring individuals seeking a healing and rejuvenating experience together to learn methods to improve health and wellness. The event, organized and led by Divine Nature Therapy, will lead attendees on a short walk through the forest, creating intentional connections with the creeks, trees, and creatures native to the lands of Kansas.
The technique will incorporate ideas from the Japanese act of forest bathing. The experience is designed to be slow and sensory. Attendees will learn to begin rebuilding relationships with the More-Than-Human world to create the foundation for a healthy mind, body, and planet. Brochure printing is a fantastic medium for sharing information about health techniques like forest bathing at such events.
The guide will begin the event with a 15-minute guided meditation before providing locally harvested tea to registered guests. The walk will be around a half mile, and attendees are encouraged to wear proper shoes and clothing for a walk in the forest.
The healing and learning session will be held in Ernie Miller Park, starting at 1:30 PM on Sunday, September 22nd. Attendees should dress for the weather to enjoy the outdoor event. Tickets cost $35 per person, and reservations are available online.
