A shop in Olathe is offering area creatives a fun setting to learn a new skill, with needlework and wine coming together for an enjoyable experience in town.
The Sip & Stitch Needlepoint Class is coming to KC Wine Co. this May, and area wine lovers who want to expand their creative horizons will not want to miss it. The two-hour class, which is open to beginners and other interested parties with limited experience, is an ideal setting to learn the basics of needlework or to build confidence and experience.
All beginners will start the session with a step-by-step guided segment that covers how to start a thread, the basic stitches to use, how to end a thread, and what to do once a canvas is finished. Printing services can be of great help by providing high-quality printed instructions that help students learn in the classroom and at home.
The class will focus on stitching a customized 2-inch by 3-inch luggage tag canvas. Students will receive a complimentary drink, needlepoint kit, mini scissors, a project bag, a needle threader, and a discount code for future canvas purchases. Spots are limited.
The class will be held at KC Wine Co., located on South Gardner Road in Olathe. The doors open at noon on Saturday, May 9th. Tickets can be reserved online in advance for $108.55 per person.
