South American business fundraiser held in Oakbrook Terrace area
Programa Velasco will be holding a fundraiser next month at the Ballydoyle in Downer’s Grove. Residents of nearby Oakbrook Terrace who are looking for a night out and want to support this organization might be interested in attending.
Called “Rayos de Esperanza - Rays of Hope,” this fundraiser will support the Betty Jane Boyd Scholarship, which goes towards El Salvadoran female entrepreneurs.
The evening will start at 6:00 p.m. with check-in. Between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. attendees can enjoy hearty appetizers donated and catered by The Foxtail and Cadence Kitchen. Attendees will receive one drink ticket and there will be a display of items for auction from local and El Salvadoran businesses and more information about how supporting this organization is making a difference for entrepreneurs in El Salvador. This is an ideal opportunity for local print shops to create brochures and flyers with such information.
This will be followed from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. with a selection of desserts as well as games of chance, the pickup of silent auction items, and a regular auction providing additional opportunities to donate.
Sponsors of this event are the Center for Peacemaking at Marquette University Berkshire Hathaway Chicago, Elaine and Brita Pagels, Keller Williams Experience, and Maximum Printing and Graphics, among others.
This event will be at the Ballydoyle on Tuesday October 7. Ticket prices are $100 per person.
