The Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will be holding its used book sale this week.
The sale will be in Glen Ellyn at the Park View Elementary School’s gymnasium. Book lovers in nearby Oakbrook Terrace will not want to miss this special event.
This is a three-day event with over 11,000 Books across many genres. Fiction Books will include romance, young adult, romance, mysteries, and science fiction, while non-fiction offerings will include biographies, history, sports, business, theology, philosophy, and health and wellness Books. For the younger set, there will be picture Books, elementary school first readers, Books for pre-school children, and story Books. Guests can also expect collectibles such as Books that are 100 years old, Books on architecture and fine arts, and first edition Books. New this year will be Boxes of board games and puzzles for both children and adults.
Such special events can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with poster printing.
There is no entry fee and the price of Books on Saturday is $10 per bag. Proceeds from the book sale will go towards scholarships for local high school girls.
The book sale runs from this Thursday to Saturday, June 19 to 21. The hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, and 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday.
