The Academy of Music and Art in Westmont has announced that its production for this year will be “Mary Poppins Jr.!” It will be presented at the Mario Parente Theatre on Ardmore Avenue in Oakbrook Terrace.
The tuition to participate in this performance is $497. Children and teenagers do not need any special skills, talents or experience to participate. There are many roles and parts for all children and teenagers so those who love the theater are welcome to join.
Poster printing can be used throughout a community to attract children and teenagers to take part in such productions.
The Academy will be holding two free audition workshops for the show which will cover audition preparation, choreography, and signing to help students feel ready and confident. These are open to boy and girls from 9 to 17 years old and are open to registered cast members, who will be notified about scheduling their audition.
Rehearsals will be at The Academy of Music and Art, Inc. on E. Ogden Avenue in Westmont, from Tuesday April 14 to June 2 and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as well as Thursday April 16 to June 4 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tech week will be Friday June 8 through Sunday June 10.
Performances will be on Thursday June 11, Friday, June 12, Saturday June 13, and Sunday, June 14. Times of the performances have not yet been announced.
