Print Companies in Oakbrook Terrace

Oakbrook Terrace is a suburb of Chicago lying almost directly west of the city. Even though the small community is in DuPage County and Chicago is in Cook County, the two are less than twenty miles apart.

Northern Illinois landmarks, past and present

Oakbrook Terrace is the site of the Oakbrook Terrace Tower, designed by Chicago architect Helmut Jahn and completed in 1986. The tower, which is designed as office space, is 31-storeys tall, octagonal in shape, and comprises 773,000 square feet. The tower is the tallest building in the state that is outside of Chicago's city limits, and is located on the site that once held Dispensa's Castle of Toys.

Dispensa's is also a landmark for Chicagoans. The building was a toy store built to resemble a medieval castle, complete with wooden soldiers standing guard out front. In the back of the store was the Kiddie Kingdom, featuring a number of carnival rides. Many locals have fond memories of the toy store, which was independently owned.

Local historians could work with a brochure printer to create a booklet about the two buildings and what they mean to residents.

A night at the theater

Adjacent to the Oakbrook Terrace Tower is the Drury Lane Theatre & Conference Center. The facility's meeting rooms include the Grand Ballroom, which can seat 1,800, the Crystal Room, with space for 240 guests, and the smaller French and English Rooms, which seat less than 100 each.

There is also a theater where Chicago culture vultures can enjoy live performances by professional actors all year round. The facility prides itself on offering fine dining choices to the groups that hold meetings there.

The theater seats 971 people, and its management could work with poster printing companies to make sure its latest productions have beautiful and striking posters to advertise them. The conference center management might also consider working with a flyer printing company to create handouts for visitors that explain the various configurations of the meeting rooms.

A diverse range of companies

Oakbrook Terrace is home to the headquarters of the Joint Commission and Redbox. The Joint Commission is a non-profit, independent organization that certifies and accredits over 20,500 health program and healthcare organizations in the US.

The certification and accreditation offered by the Joint Commission are recognized symbols that signify that an organization has met certain standards of performance. The non-profit’s mission is to improve public health by evaluating the healthcare provided by various organizations, and inspiring them to provide the safest, most effective treatments possible.

Since the commission evaluates organizations across the country, its management might like to work with business card printers to make sure that all its employees have up-to-date, attractive business cards to identify themselves.

Redbox, which was first funded by McDonald's, is now a subsidiary of Outerwall, Inc. The company has over 40,000 of its familiar red kiosks across the country, which automatically rents DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and video games to patrons. The kiosks can be found at fast food restaurants, groceries, convenience stores, pharmacies, and mass retailers.

Redbox might consider working with a banner printing company to create promotional signs for when a new location opens.
