The Glendale Foothills Branch Library and Midwestern University, with a campus in Downers Grove, will be offering a special online seminar series, the Community Health Lecture Series, on coping with the virus and other topics related to health and medicine.
It will be offered monthly, at no charge to the public, and in partnership with faculty experts from the new Midwestern University Therapy Institute. Residents of Oakbrook Terrace may be interested in such seminars.
This is the newest clinic for the community at Midwestern University. It opened in December 2019 and spans 74,000 square feet. Among the specialty services offered in therapeutic care are speech language pathology; occupational, vision, and physical therapy; clinical psychology; and low vision rehabilitation. Brochure printing can be used to provide more information about such services that are provided for the public.
Clinical Assistant Professor in the psychology program at the Institute, Penny Stuart Zaddack, Psy.D., will be presenting the next program on maintaining one’s emotional and mental health at this time. This discussion will be from 3:30 to 4:30 pm on Tuesday, August 18. The program on Tuesday September 15 at the same time will be on eye strain and presented by Assistant Professor at the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University, Elizabeth Escobedo, O.D. Preregistration is required for these events.
