Burger company visits Oakbrook Terrace with new mobile eatery

Wayback Burgers has created an app and compact electric vehicle for the food delivery market that combines the convenience of onsite cooking with delivery.

Owners and managers of restaurants have constantly faced the challenge of being able to deliver quality food to its customers when they live far away from the restaurant. To solve the “soggy fries” problem, as termed by CEO of Wayback Burgers, John Eucalitto, the company worked with Tropos Technologies to create Viddl-It, a 5.5 by 8-foot electric food truck that brings the restaurant to its customers.

The company, based in Cheshire, Connecticut, first tested the vehicle and app near its headquarters and then unveiled it in October 2018 at the Wayback Burgers Convention. It recently made a tour of the country, stopping at various Wayback Burgers restaurants, and visited the location in Oakbrook Terrace. Such companies can used other Promotional Products to encourage owners of such restaurants to employ new technologies to increase revenue and provide new services to customers.

The accompanying Viddl-It app enables customers to order a meal cooked at the location and delivered to them. The app can also be used to reserve the vehicle for catering needs. The vehicle is equipped with freezers, refrigerators, fryers, griddles, and other cooking equipment, and is run on propane with a battery.
