Chief judge wins reelection

Mark L. Levitt has been selected to serve another term as Lake County’s chief judge.

Levitt was selected by the 19th Judicial Circuit in Lake County, which also serves Libertyville. His second term as the chief judge will run for one year, starting on January 2, 2023, and ending on January 1, 2024.

Levitt made a statement in the announcement of his new selection where he said:

"I was elected to the role of chief judge during a difficult and unprecedented time. As we continue to adapt and overcome to serve the public, I am grateful to the circuit judges for their continued support and confidence in my ability to help make Lake County's court system even more efficient and effective."

Prior to his first election to the circuit bench back in 2010, Levitt served in the Cook County Public Defender’s Office where he worked closely with the Homicide Task Force. Executives tend to enlist business card printing services when taking on new roles.

Levitt studied to gain his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Known for his voluntary and charity work, he is also a member of the Deerfield Lions and the Deerfield Rotary, and he once held a seat on the Deerfield School District 109 Board.

The circuit judges made his reelection official at a meeting held late last month.
