Two upcoming celebrations welcome fall

Fall is coming up quickly, and the Naper Settlement has a couple of events coming up that will help to celebrate that fact.

Oktoberfest comes to the settlement on the first weekend of October, featuring traditional German food and beer. There will also be musical entertainment; both traditional Forms such as Polka music and contemporary rock and roll. It is an opportunity for those in the area to celebrate their own heritage or honor their neighbors.

Two weeks later, All Hallow's Eve is taking place. This event is recommended for those who are over eight years old. It will feature approximately 20 scary and spooky attractions. It will also have a variety of vendors selling arts and crafts and general merchandise. The Martin Mitchell Mansion will also be the location of a haunt, with a limited number of people allowed in the mansion at one time.

No doubt, both events will appeal to many in the area, including those from nearby Joliet. To help spread the word about such events, local Stationery printers often provide printed advertisements.

Oktoberfest will be held at the Naper Settlement from October 2 to 3. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children between the ages of 4 and 12.

All Hallow's Eve will take place on October 16 and 17 from 6:30 to 10:00 PM. Tickets are $20 or free for members of the Naperville Heritage Society.
