Joliet to address preparedness and mental wellness

The 2025 Active Threat & Mental Wellness Conference will bring together experts, first responders, and community leaders to strengthen preparedness for active threat incidents this November.

The three-day event is designed around prevention, defense, and recovery. It will offer attendees practical strategies and firsthand accounts from individuals directly impacted by major national tragedies.

Key sessions will focus on identifying warning Signs to stop threats before they escalate, immediate actions for survival during crises, and long-term recovery for both victims and communities. Presenters will share personal experiences, underscoring the lasting effects of trauma and the importance of coordinated responses. Mental wellness remains a central theme, with discussions on resilience, support systems, and post-event healing.

Meals are included daily, and Continuing Education Credits will be available.

Standard pricing takes effect as of today (August 29), meaning full-conference admission is $300 and single-day tickets are $125. Additional rates include $375 for general admission, $325 for first responders, and $275 for students. Refunds are accepted up to seven days before the conference. Tickets and more information can be found on the Eventbrite listing.
