Engines roar while flags fly in Joliet

The Pro Pulling League, a national motorsport series known for its high-powered machines and elite drivers, will make its return to Joliet this July.

The event will be packed with a schedule of truck and tractor pulling events, patriotic festivities, and a large-scale fireworks display. The event will feature five competition categories, showcasing vehicles such as 5,000-horsepower tractors, Pro Modified 4WDs, and Hot Rod semis.

Fans can expect a high-intensity showdown as pullers battle it out for distance in a series of raw power contests. The event will include Unlimited Super Stock Tractors, Super Stock Diesel Trucks, and Super Farm Tractors.

Festivities begin in the afternoon with a pre-race gathering and the patriotic “Fly the Flag” parade.

The event will conclude with a professional fireworks show at 9:30 pm, promising an extended, high-intensity display of patriotic visuals following the final pull.

Tickets can be purchased online through official channels listed on the Dirt Oval 66 listing, by phone at (815) 740-8000, at the Dirt Oval office, or in person on event day. Organizers caution against buying through unauthorized resale platforms.

The event will take place on Saturday, July 12th at Dirt Oval 66, 3200 South Chicago Street, Joliet, Illinois. Gates will open at 4 pm, with pre-race entertainment from 4 to 6:30 pm and competition beginning at 7 pm.
