Tour to explore Joliet historic site

This fall, an event will be on offer in Joliet that will explore the history of one of its local landmarks, courtesy of Chicago Movie Tours.

The public is invited to register now for an activity that will have plenty to offer history and film buffs alike. It will take place in Old Joliet Prison, and it will be both indoors and out.

The registrants will be participating in a docent-led tour of the institution, including its cell blocks, kitchen, chapel, and solitary confinement cells. While they explore, they will learn about the history of the site. The ticket holders can ask any questions they have, and once the walking tour has concluded, it will be time to head indoors for the second part of the evening.

After the tour, the participants will take a seat in the gymnasium, which will be darkened for the activity. Here, the attendees will enjoy an activity that highlights the long relationship between the facility and Hollywood’s film and television industry.

One of the aspects of organizing a large event is ordering waivers and other legal documents for the registrants to sign before they head out. These can be prepared by companies that offer Letterheads and other custom Stationery printing options.

The planners of these tours have set five sessions for the public to choose from. The first of them is scheduled for May 1. The other dates and times, as well as further details, can be found on the website.
