The inaugural Santa Shuffle 5K is set to take place in Joliet this December.
The race will start and finish at the Renaissance Center. During the event, participants will be taken along many of the town’s landmarks, such as Slammers Stadium, Union Station, the drawbridges, and Joliet Public Library.
The 5K is a family-friendly event that will feature a choice of race options. Participants not interested in participating in the full 5K run are invited to be a part of the one-mile Jingle Jog. These runners will get a customized T-shirt and a finisher’s medal.
The event will also feature an indoor party at Renaissance Center once the race has ended. Attendees are advised to wear festive attire, as awards will be presented to the best-dressed individuals.
Registration is available online through the official event listing. Pre-registration runs through November 15, after which there will be a price increase. For additional information, participants can get in touch with Denise Ryan at dryan@jolietpark.org.
Banner printing can be used to highlight the start and end lines at events such as this one.
Participants can collect their packets on Friday, December 6 between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm at the Inwood Athletic Club. The race will take place on December 8 starting at 9:00 am at the Renaissance Center, 214 North Ottawa Street, Joliet.
