Learning opportunity trains leaders of tomorrow

For the 45th year, the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry is presenting the Community Leadership School.

The school consists of 10 separate sessions held between January and March and at different locations in the city. Up to 40 Chamber members and non-members can register. Some of those locations are the University of St. Francis, the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate and the Will County Board Room.

Each session consists of a half-hour of networking, a continental breakfast and then guest speakers. The speakers will be successful business leaders in the Joliet area. Topics of discussion will include effective networking, community engagement and personal leadership skills. In order to graduate, all participants must take part in a team project that will involve working with local non-profit organizations.

The school has been very successful over the years and has graduated some of the top business leaders in Joliet. It is very likely that those planning to attend the sessions will be placing a new business card printing order.

The Community Leadership School takes place each Wednesday from January 15 until March 18 from 7:30 to 9:00 AM. Fees are $595 for Joliet Region Chamber members and $795 for non-members. To learn more about the school and session topics, contact Patti Raspolich at 815-727-5371.
