Joliet YMCA to offer day of family fun

Healthy living is about to get a lot easier for Joliet families thanks to a special day planned by the local YMCA.

The Galowich Family YMCA will be holding its Healthy Kids Day celebration at the end of May. Promising to be filled with fun for all, the activities will be on offer throughout the afternoon and evening. To thank them for their support, everyone will be going home with a goodie bag of Promotional Products for as long as supplies last.

The agenda for the afternoon has special hands-on fun for the kids, and a snack-making class, bouncy houses, an inflatable obstacle course, and a family fitness class are all in the works. A boot camp and cardio class will round out the celebration.

Along with the activities and swag Bags, those who attend the festivities will be able to enter their name in a raffle draw. The prizes up for grabs include a free summer membership. This will be joined by a community resource fair. Here, the public can meet a variety of not-for-profit groups and learn what they have to offer. Many of these will be distributing materials prepared for the occasion by brochure printing companies.

This fun way to learn what benefits the YMCA and other community service groups can provide to the local area will be taking place on Friday, April 28, starting at 4:00 pm. The venue can be found at 749 Houbolt Road in Joliet.
